Getting something like this really takes the fun out of installing “free” apps. WTF is Apple thinking?
I have some misc. hardware hacks going on at home, and I made the mistake of leaving some thumb screws laying around. Apparently roomba decided it could eat these without too much trouble so I found them while emptying it’s poop drawer. Pretty impresive for a little cleaning robot.
So far I like the extra speed of the iPhone 3G despite the probably accurate fact which has been repeatedly pointed out by someone that it’s not as fast as it should be. I miss the old back of the original iphone, but like the flush headphone jack, but I dislike the new vibrate button which only changed slightly. The terminal application, which is far from an approved Apple application, has a couple keyboard issues when rotated. And I noticed a huge lag bug while typing a SMS message, it’s only happened once so let’s hope it’s not a repeat. Video: iphone_keyboard_lag
But my favorate app has to be the Shazam application which will listen to a sample of music, say at a club or restuarant and then tell you what the artist, album, and song it is etc. It will also have links to itunes (barf), or youtube. These are all saved as tags so you can go purchase them *cough* steal torrents *cough* later.
It’s only natural that once you make new patches, you’ll get new patches on your patches. Thanks to Minghui for finding and fixing a bug where syntax errors would report the incorrect filename. I’ve updated the patches with these fixes, enjoy and let me know of any other problems!
While looking at a possible bug in the PHP INI Patches, I noticed that I hadn’t made any patches available for other versions of PHP. I’ve now updated these for php-5.2.4, php-5.2.5, php-5.2.6, and php-5.2.7-dev (CVS). I’ll work on getting a patch up for php-5.3.0-dev and php-6.0.0-dev sometime soon too.
